COVID-19 Tenant Update #1 - 18/03/2020

Business as usual at the moment with precautions.

Unfortunately the spread of COVID 19 means we have to take steps to prepare for any period in an unprecedented time of quarantine, possible school closures or complete shutdown in the future for our team and for our clients and customers. We are mindful you are each dealing with similar issues in your own day to day lives.

We want to assure you that we have taken steps to ensure we can continue to operate during such a time whilst taking every precaution to maintain the highest level of hygiene and minimise any risk to yourselves and to our staff.  We are in a relatively unique situation in the NT and being remote and somewhat isolated and with only 1 known case we have the benefit of remaining mostly unaffected at this time.

There are however some things to consider:

  • Routine Inspections appointments will still be carried out at this stage and we will continue to do so whilst practising good hygiene and social distancing. This task is being monitored as things are progressing and we will advise if your scheduled routine inspection is delayed or postponed in the near future. If you have any questions or concerns at all we welcome you to contact us or discuss with your property manager. These appointments are preferred and recommended to be done without anyone in in the home at the time or using cautious social distancing during the appointment.

  • Viewings for re-letting property can still be carried out at the moment and we are practising careful hygiene and social distancing. We already offer and will continue to offer facetime walkthroughs as a precaution. We will be looking to do a recorded viewing walkthrough in case of complete shutdown in the future, we would be able to use this to show prospective tenants through without no risk of contact with any person.

  • We will also take steps to seek assurances from our contractors to ensure Repairs / Contractor Attendance can still be undertaken with caution and will keep you updated if there are any changes to this in the future. We have sought assurances from all our contractors they are taking necessary precautions  as well.

Prior to any attendance at the property regardless of purpose, we ask that if you have recently returned from overseas or travelled from major cities within Australia or exhibit any of the following symptoms that you let us know prior to our attendance so we may assess the situation and potentially postpone the inspection.

  • fever
  • flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue
  • Shortness of breath

We will be sure to keep you updated as things evolve and assure you we are doing all we can to ensure the continuity of business as usual for now and for as long as possible.
